Hi,
Story Writers!
It’s Thursday! You know what that means – yeah, it’s time to start a brand new contest. Click the Story Starter button in the sidebar to read this week’s Story Starter!

Well, I
read all the stories for Black
Tie Bummer and all
I can say is… I will
never volunteer to do this again!
I would think that ONE
of you would have gotten it right. How? By making
ME the focus of the story!
That’s the way it should have been!
But noooooooo, it wasn’t me you wrote about. It was RONNIE. Veronica is ALWAYS the center of attention!
Anyway, this is the best story by far BECAUSE it does have ME coming up with a way to blast open a boring party. Yay for me! So, Congrats to Celina for her story on the “Black Tie Nightmare.”
The Reg
PS. You can read about ME in Celina's story be clicking on the 'Hall of FAME' button on your left!
I
worked really hard on this one. I think you’ll like it AND there
are tons of story possibilities! Here goes:
Ethel At The Wheel
You all know Ethel. Well, she was having a little trouble driving. She’s a pretty good driver, she just gets scared easily and when that happens… well, she heads for the nearest ditch.

So, Bets and I decided to give her some driving pointers to boost her confidence. No way were we using MY new car, and Daddy’s limo is too big. And Betty drives a stick, Sooooo, we used Archie’s car. Oops!
So, you tell me… How did our driving adventure with Ethel go?
Have fun!
Love,
Ronnie
In
case you haven’t seen it, STORY CONTEST RULES & PRIZES are now

It looks like this:
Oooh, I’m so excited!

Hi
everybody! Midge here with my choice for the winner of Week 1’s
Story Contest.
I want to thank everybody who entered and I have this bit of advice for you. Please keep sending in your stories, even if I didn’t pick you to win this week BECAUSE I had a really hard time – as in, I-couldn’t-sleep-at-night - picking a winner!
It was SO hard, in fact, that I chose 2 Winners this week – that’s right, Week 1 ended in a TIE! (You’ll never see that on American Idol!)
My picks: I chose the stories written by Alexa AND Maria!
Alexa wrote a fabulous story and she said great things about ME. Gotta love that! Note to Alexa: Girl, you NEED to be a novelist and don’t wait until you’re out of college! You should start working on a book NOW!
Maria wrote the most wonderful story about being a foreign exchange student arriving in Riverdale. Made me want to cry!
THANK YOU for allowing me to be the first EVER Judge of the Weekly Story Contest! I hope I get to do this again someday. Now, everybody congratulate our winners… then get to work writing the NEXT winning story!
I Love You Guys!
Midge
OH, I almost forgot! Look for this "Hall of FAME" button on the left side of the blogs (click on it) and you can re-read the winning stories!!
Greetings,
Storytellers! I LOVE this contest; it's soooo much FUN reading ALL
the entries. This week, I've come up with a good one... and the
WHOLE GANG is in it! I hope you like it. Here goes:
Black Tie Bummer
Archie, Jughead, Reggie, Betty and I went to a Black Tie Dinner at the Governor's Mansion to celebrate our contribution to the world of comics. It was a FORMAL occasion, you know, black tie. And WE were the guests of honor! I was stunning, of course, and Bets looked fabulous. Archie, Jughead and Reggie even looked good (but I couldn't get Jughead to take off his beanie!)
Anyway, the evening was perfect... UNTIL we sat down to eat. I've never BEEN so embarrassed! All I can say is... BOYS! What happened?!
Can't wait to read your stories...
Love,
Ronnie
Last week, Betty hosted our
first ever weekly story and, even though I was really upset about the Makeover
Issue, I LOVED reading your stories!
They were the high spot of my otherwise stinky week!
This week, it’s my turn –
and do I have a TERRIFIC story
idea. Here it is. I’m calling it:
Face To Face
After school one day, Bets and I stop
into Pop’s for a shake. Pop looks
nervous when we walk in and gives us “a look”. There are a few regulars there, mostly adults – and THEY look nervous
too! So, Bets and I head to our regular
booth BUT it’s already occupied… BY THEM!!! The FAUX DUO!!! It’s the first time we’ve actually met. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!
Can’t wait to read what you
write for this one!!!
(((Hugs)))
Veronica
