I Did A Solo!

… in the Christmas program at church this morning. I didn’t plan to. But, Mrs. Davis, the soprano who sings O Holy Night every year had laryngitis this morning, so they asked ME to pinch hit for her! (That’s a baseball term; I learned it from Betty.)

So, I sang O Holy Night - with the entire choir backing me up – it was INCREDIBLE!!!  You know, I wasn’t even nervous until AFTER I sang; then I walked back to my seat and my knees turned to jello!!!  Betty said I sounded great.

Now that that bit of excitement is over, Bets and I are going to pick up some last minute stuff for her mom, then meet the gang at Pops.

yea sort of cause at schooll im in band and we had to do a christmas concert and everybody that went were singing along to the music.

Hey veronica. i sang at the winter concert in my school. we sounded so good. it was like the best moment ever, also i played piano. i was nervous but i got over it. i had so much fun. i love to sing and play and so it was cool.

i don't sing...i might have when i was younger though. i was in a lot of Church plays and programs when i was little. i sing okay, i'd probably be decent with some training. i'm just too shy. lol

we put on our traditional christmas play, and i was mary and at the very end everyone sang holy night and i got a huge solo! it was awesome!!

THats so cool Veronica!! I LOVE that song! I didn't sing in church but i sang a solo with the choir i'm in. Actually we did a bunch of concerts and i sang at all of them. I was REALLY nervous the first couple times but after that i wasn't even really that nervous and it went reall well. It was fun!

Ha, yes, my class and another class did at our school's Christmas Concert. We were absolutely horrible. We messed up one of the lines, which messed up the whole song. In the audience, the parents were looking kind of mad at us.
But apparently, we did better the next day(I was gone, getting braces)... maybe I'm a bad luck charm!
Oh well.

We used to have a Christmas program at our church but the lady who always put it together moved...I sang in the Kid's choir since I was little then, and then last year on the Sunday before CHristmas I sang in the regular choir. We sang "Sing Hallelujah The Lord Is Come". WE didn't sing this year though.

I didn't sing but we had a program for the parents and grandparents at my school. I had to read a speech in front of 600 people or more. I was very nervous!

I`m so glad you got a chance to sing! My grade has a choir and we just had a concert recently. I didn`t sing any solos but the one soloist we did have was great! I was sooooooo nervouse about singing infront of people even though I would be one among many.

it was soENBARESING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!I did a solo 3 times this year. 1 of them i meast up conpleatly. the other times i that i meast up so i started to cry . And than i friends told me i did great and than i fealt sooo bad.

Hi, i have done a lot of singing too. My school has a school play that's happening in february. The auditions were last week and guess which parts i got? I wanted a speaking part, and a singing part, but i thought that wasn't possible, but when the results came in i got a solo AND an acting part...practices start soon, wish me good luck.

After the auditions, week after, just last wednesday. Our music teacher offered me something amazing. He wrote a song called, Let Us Pray, [catholic school] and the whole school was going to sing it and it was gonna be on a cd so everyone in the city i live, will get a copy of the cd will hear our school singing let us pray..

BUT.
there wre two verses in the song and he said that i was gonna sing one verse alone and this other girl in grade 7 the second verse! we recorded it on thurs...I SKIPPED SOCIALS FOR THE RECORDING! and i was reallly happyyy...

Hi Veronica! I sang at a school Christmas play and it went great! When I got home,I was so tired.
