Decorations – I’m Talkin’ Lights!

 

Merry Christmas! I’m saying that to someone every day now :)

 

I’m having Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo (got a cramp in my finger) ooooooooooooooooo much fun reading all your comments on my Christmas music post! What a great list of songs!

 

Oh, and daphnie, I looked up Himig Ng Pasko online and listened to it. It’s beautiful. Thanks!

 

So, here’s another tradtion I want to talk about: Holiday Decorations. Outdoor ones. Okay, here at my house, we used to go pretty traditional – wreath on the door, a few white lights on the spruce trees. It was pretty, in a stately sort of way. But then 3 years ago, Smithers suddenly got into the whole Christmas decorating thing and started buying stuff to put on the lawn.

 

NOW we have angels, Santa and his sleigh, a bunch of elves, and this year he’s adding a Christmas train!  Our yard is starting to look like a holiday amusement park. There’s a line of cars outside every night driving by to look at it!

 

Do any of you have a “Smithers” at your house that loves to decorate?

You should see my neighbor's house during December!! His whole lawn is covered with inflatables, his roof is covered with lights, and inflatables, his balcony is covered with lights and inflatables, and to top it off, he has Christmas music BLASTING!! He is definetly a "Smithers"

Well, in my neighborhood, there is this AMAZING guy who puts up the most AMAZING decorations- he completely knocks himself out. There is music playing, Christmas blow-ups, lights everywhere (even on the fence), the Grinch, an angel+tree on the ROOF, snow flake paving stones for the ground, blow-up snowmen and SO MUCH MORE! He even has his own Christmas Carnival, so everyone has fun and it looks fantabulous. I haven't even seen his backyard! So, since there are such amazing decorations in my neighborhood, no one else bothers to do anything. =)

My parents and brother enjoy it, but I go all-out!
We have light up deer on our lawn as well as an
inflatable santa, and you should see
the INSIDE of my house!
It's so much fun!

The only problem is that my house is in the middle of nowhere, so no one can see our lovely deco...: (

I love decorating! But we don't have a big house and lots of lawn room So we go pretty traditional. A wreath on our door. I bow on our mail box and some lights around our door and down our steps. Its really pretty.

my dad goes crazy w/ decorating our house!! he puts lights on our house and trees. we have a train too!! my dad went to 2 different stores trying to find one!! lol

I love decorating! I can't do the outside, because I'm short and young, but I love decorating the inside with garlands, ornaments, and random decorations! And I ALWAYS get a little pointsettia that's my personal one!
