My Best Little Buddies

Hi Everyone - Patty here.

Veronica asked about my dogs so I'm going to show you pictures of them. I just LOVE my dogs.
Their names are Katy and Codie. They are both the same kind of dog (Australian cattle dogs AKA Blue Heelers).
Let's see...we got them from the dog shelter. Katy is about 10 years old and Codie is about 7. Have I mentioned that I LOVE them? :)

Here they are. (Codie is the one on the digital Christmas card. )

Now it's your turn.....tell me about your pets!!! Have they ever done anything really cute or funny???

Hey Patty, I’ve Got A Question

Patty’s doing a great job, isn’t she? We knew you’d love to get the chance to talk to her. So, I’ve got a question for you, Patty. Actually, it’s a request from my dog, Cookie.

Will you please tell us about your 2 adorable dogs?

Thanks!

The 70’s Were Great, but…

...I’m glad it’s 2008!

Hi bbs! Our 70’s day at school was terrific. You should have seen everyone! LOL The halls were filled with tie-dyed tees, embroidered jeans and platform shoes. I don’t know how anyone walked in those things. Seriously, the new kid, Raj, took a tumble down the stairs and kids were tripping all over the place. It was like walking on stilts!

Mr. Bee wore – are you ready? – a hair piece!!!!! A BAD ONE. Eewwwwww! It looked like a groundhog was sitting on top of his head!

Ms Grundy said “far out” a lot (I really think that was said more in the 60’s, but I didn’t tell her.) And Mz. Beazly fixed double tater tots for lunch because, apparently, they were a lunchtime staple 30 years ago.

Just before school let out, Mr. Bee announced a brand new surprise for next Friday – A school picnic at Riverdale Park! Can’t wait!!!

So, how did your school week go?

Groovy!

Happy Last Day of April! Tomorrow is MAY and that means Summer Vacation is just around the corner!

I LUV Mr. Bee; he’s the coolest principal in the world! You know what he did today? He declared this Friday “70’s Flashback Friday” so we all get to dress in 70’s clothes, wear 70’s hair and listen to 70’s music!

(I hope we don’t have 70’s cafeteria food – I hear they ate instant potatoes Eewwwww!)

Bets and Midge and Nancy and I are headed to this little vintage boutique that just opened in Riverdale, and maybe some thrift stores to find some really “groovy” clothes for Friday.

Have you ever had a 70’s Day at YOUR school? Just curious.

There’s a Birthday at My House

Tomorrow is Daddy’s birthday. I have my present for him bought and wrapped and I think it’s a good one this year. It’s actually a picture of me in a very nice Tiffany frame. He’ll love it.

So, tonight mother is hosting a big dinner party in his honor here at the house. All adults. No kids. Boring. Sooooooo, Bets invited me to spend the night at her house. I’m heading over there as soon as I finish this post. We’re going to a movie I think, or maybe to the mall.

So, what are YOU doing this weekend?

Between you and me, I can hardly wait for Summer!

And Now There Are 5

So, did you see Idol? Carly’s gone! Voted off the show just like that. I thought she was very good, but she wasn’t my favorite. MY favorite is still in the running.

So, now that it’s down to the Final 5, who do you hope wins?

And who do you think will go next?

(((Gotta know)))

Welcome Back!

I'm happy to report that everyone's back in Riverdale! Patty pulled into town late last night, with a car load of alpaca wool, a sunburn, and a whole bunch of pretty bird pictures. She was tired but very happy. Bets and I were glad to see her; I had NO idea she spent so much time at the computer! No wonder she wanted to be outdoors all weekend! We have the best Fairy Blogmother in the WORLD!

Thanks, Patty!

Archie is back from Comic-Con, too. He said the convention hall was hot and stuffy, the food was so-so, and they ran out of ice for the sodas BUT he met some very nice people.

Pop's is all put back together after last week's mishap. Reggie got a new cell phone, too. So, to recap - it's Monday, the gang's back in town and we're ready to start another week! How’s YOUR week starting out?

Sitting In For Patty

Veronica here, blogging from the official Fairy Blogmother chair. That’s right, Bets and I are manning Patty’s office this weekend. You know why? Patty is on a Back-to-Nature weekend. I think it must have something to do with Earth Day; it’s the 22nd, you know.

First she’s heading upstate to an alpaca show. She asked me if I’ve ever seen an alpaca.

“Sure,” I said. “They’re in Saks and some of the finer clothiers in New York.”

Patty grinned and said, “I meant the whole alpaca, Veronica, not just their wool.”

She had me there. I have NO idea what an alpaca looks like. I only know they’re related to camels and their hair is long and gorgeous!

After the alpaca show she is going kayaking, hiking and bird watching. Between you and me, her “fun” weekend sounds like a lot of work! I had enough of “The Great Outdoors” last summer on our camping trip.

Good luck, Patty. And don’t worry. Bets and I have everything under control!
