Getting Started with Scrapbooking using Paint.NET

Hi Bloggy Scrapbookers!!

I am so excited about our doing Archie Comics scrapbooking together!

To get started, the first thing you need to do is to download the FREE Paint program. (This is NOT the same program that you have on your compter. )

Copy and paste this link into your browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox etc).

When you get to the above page, click the link that says: Download Now! Paint.NET v3.10 The link is on the upper right side of the page. (Be sure to ask for permission from your parents first!!)

After you click on 'Download Now!" A little box will pop up. Click on 'Save to Disk' and then 'Open'. Then click on 'Extract All Files'. When the Extraction Wizard box pops up choose 'Next'. Click on the 'Browse' button and click on  'Desktop'. and 'OK'  Click 'Next' This will save the program on your desktop. 

Make sure that there is a check mark in 'Show extracted files' box.

Click 'Finish'
Click on Paint.NET.3.10.exe
Click on Quick
Click Next
Click I Agree (after reading the terms)
Click Next

When the box says that Paint.NET was installed successfully click 'Finish'.

To open Paint.net go to the  'Start'  button on the lower left of your computer then click on 'All Programs' then click on the Paint.NET link.
